Privacy Statement
Last updated: July 26, 2026
ADI-AI ("we," "us," "our"), operated by ADI-AI LLC, provides forensic audio intelligence software ("the Software"). This statement explains what information we handle and how. We have designed ADI-AI to collect as little as possible.
ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY
Your audio and the analysis derived from it are processed on your own device. They are not uploaded to us, stored by us, or transmitted off your machine by the Software. We receive limited account and billing information necessary to sell you a subscription and deliver your license. The Software does use the network, but never to send us your recordings or transcripts — see "When the Software uses the network" below.
When the Software uses the network
Transcription is always performed locally and never requires a connection. The Software uses the network only in these situations:
- License validation. Paid editions contact our license server at launch and send a license key and a device identifier. They do not send audio, transcripts, or case data. Scribe50 FREE is unlicensed and makes no license call at all.
- Purchases and subscription management. Handled by Stripe, on Stripe's own pages. See "Payment information" below.
- Importing media from a link. If you choose to import media by pasting a URL rather than selecting a local file, the Software contacts the source you named in order to fetch that media. It contacts no one else, and this happens only when you use that feature.
- Support. Only when you contact us.
In none of these cases are your recordings or transcripts sent to ADI-AI. We do not perform cloud transcription, and we have no copy of your case material.
Information we handle
Audio and case data. Audio files you process, and all derived data (transcripts, hashes, analysis output, evidence packages), remain on your device. We do not receive, access, store, or transmit them. We cannot see your case material.
Account and license information. When you purchase a subscription we receive your email address, name, and a device identifier used to bind your license to a single device. We use this to issue, validate, and manage your license.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits and billing email) needed to manage your subscription. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Communications. If you email us (for example, support requests), we receive the contents of those messages and your email address.
Technical/license-server data. When the Software validates your license, our license server receives your license key and device identifier to confirm the subscription is active. It does not receive your audio or case data.
Service providers
We use a small number of third parties to operate the business:
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Hosting providers — for our website and license server.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their service to us.
How we use information
We use the information we handle to: deliver and validate your license; process payments and manage your subscription; send transactional email related to your purchase; respond to support requests; and maintain the security and integrity of the Software and our systems. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for advertising.
Data retention
We retain account, license, and billing records for as long as your subscription is active and as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. Because we never receive your audio or case data, there is nothing of that kind for us to retain.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act / CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to know how it is used. To exercise any such right, contact us at the address below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. Within the Software, your case data is protected by the local chain-of-custody and integrity controls described in our product materials; that data never leaves your device through the Software.
Children
ADI-AI is a professional tool not directed to children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this statement. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
